1.What is blood pressure: Blood pressure is the speed at which blood flows
through the blood vessels. Blood pressure is tested in 2 ways. A) systolic and
b) diastolic
* Systolic pressure: The blood pressure that results from the contraction of the heart is called systolic pressure.
* Diastolic pressure: The blood pressure that results from the expansion of the heart is called diastolic pressure.
2. Kinds of Blood pressure : Blood pressure 2 types namely a) high blood pressure and b) low blood pressure.

3. High blood pressure: High blood pressure is called the silent killer. If a person's blood pressure is above systolic 120 and diastolic 80 i.e. 120/80, then it is called high blood pressure.
4. Causes of high blood pressure: In 95% of the cases no cause of high
blood pressure is found. In the remaining 5% of cases some cause is found. The
reasons given are as follows:
* Do not do physical work.
* High cholesterol in the blood.
* Smoking.
* Taking alcohol.
* Excessive excitement.
* Mental distress.
* Eats extra salt.
* If you do not get enough sleep.
* Hereditary reasons.
* If there is excess weight in the body.
* If you take various long-term medicines.
* If you have uncontrolled diabetes and heart disease.
